Ilkeliani firmly believes that tourism should benefit the ecosystem, the wildlife and the local communities. The camp operates fully on solar power, grows its own fresh produce and helps guests live plastic free by providing refillable water flasks.
Ilkeliani’s experienced safari guides know the region intimately. Most of the guides come from the local communities, and have been part of the team for many years. Having done their training in the Maasai Mara, developing their knowledge of the terrain and studying the behaviour of the resident animals, they are best placed to find even those creatures that love to conceal themselves. The camp’s vehicles have been specially designed for game viewing, with open sides, plenty of pouches for photographic equipment, and sockets for recharging batteries on the go. Wish a suspension bridge from the camp over the river into the reserve, Ilkeliani offers immediate access to the Mara Reserve from dawn until dusk.
At Ilkeliani you can fill your days with activities or enjoy the camp at leisure. The game-filled plains of the Maasai Mara offer all manner of activities, and guests can do as much or as little as they choose
Enjoy a luxury safari in Kenya at Ilkeliani Camp, a luxurious oasis in the centre of the world-famous Maasai Mara.
